The two biggest: memory that seems to run out all too quickly, and an inability to hook your PC to the Internet over Bluetooth as a wireless modem.
Yesterday, PalmOne issued a fix for one of those problems on Sprint Treos, and the company say they're working on the other issue. (Sorry, Cingular Treo owners, you have to wait.) The new Sprint Treo ROM patch makes the handheld use 32-byte blocks rather than 512-byte blocks for Palm file databases, freeing up memory and making the 650's 32MB memory feel more like the supposedly-equal space available on the Treo 600. (The 600 had the same raw amount of RAM but smaller, more flexible memory blocks.)
The Treo patch also improves the phone's voice quality, Sprint says.
As for dial-up networking via Bluetooth, well, it's coming, according to Sprint. For now, you can use the third-party commercial program PDANet (.com/palmnet/) or the freeware solution by Shadowmite (.com/) , but Shadowmite's solution doesn't (yet) combine with the memory manager patch PalmOne released above.
