UPDATE: Cingular, Verizon to Share Picture Messages
Sascha SeganPicture messaging is no fun if your friends don't get the pics, and for Verizon camera phone owners trying to send images to other carriers' phones, that's been a problem.
At the CTIA show here in New Orleans, Cingular and Verizon announced that they're connecting their picture-messaging networks to each other, allowing nearly 100 million wireless subscribers to send images back and forth.
This is true picture messaging, according to Verizon spokesman Jeff Nelson.
